A Collection of Haiku
Summer's fever broke
Wild asters linger alone
A cool twilight chill
Of pride and power
The best measure of the man
Is made from below
First, be curious
Then go out and find what's there
Accept the wonder
White-sailed corsairs
With their rigs full billowing
Chase across the sky
She can't help but run
The lawn under her bare feet
Then a somersault!
Take morning outside
Find a grassy spot with shade
Watch the children run
Pilgrims and paupers
Sharing a fire by the creek
Mutton on trenchers
From the fields to you
Market bustle and bouquet
Sweet corn and notions
Comes the bloody orb
An ecliptic shadow stalks
The wolf eats the moon
